The most commonly used steel strap specification is cold rolled, blued and waxed finish wound into ribbon or oscillation wound coils. The hot rolled steel strapping uses are generally limited to the heavier duty applications where the much improved shock loading characteristics of hot rolled steel are more likely to be required.
